A recent study states that although more and more people claim to be increasingly aware of the dangers of divulging personal information about themselves online, that there is an increasing amount of such information being revealed. The chief culprit is social networking sites (like MySpace.com). Here is the story stating that about one in four people surveyed have posted private and confidential data about themselves online.

With the rash of identity theft issues in the news, it is amazing that there are a certain segment of society that continues to volunteer this information up for everyone to have access to. Guard your personal and financial data – both online and off… don’t become a victim, and seriously don’t help the criminals out by giving them the information they’re after voluntarily.
