Myth#4:

If I don’t get on the Internet at all then there is no way for me to get a virus.

False: Sadly, no. Though the vast majority of computer viruses are spread via the Internet or Email, many viruses are spread via software. It is possible for a computer virus to be on a disk or CD-Rom and then infect your computer from there. Another note, if your computer is hooked up to a private or commercial network that has Internet access then your computer is vulnerable to any virus that can reach that network… whether you go online or not.
