Uh-Oh, Computer Virus Takes Down Some Police Officers
The police are there to protect the public from the evils that are out there. Here is an amusing story though about a computer virus that took down some police officers. It seems that these officers frequented some dating sites that released a computer virus onto the department’s computer network. It was traced to this one particular area of the department and the officers were shifted back to street work.
Yet another reason to watch what websites you frequent when you are at work, computer viruses can negatively impact people in a number of different ways.
As someone that has worked for various government organizations, I can say that this is pretty common. At the same time, the people that are in the IT dept should have had security measures in place to limit this type of infection. Unfortunately, when you have a lot of people on a network that must be running at all times, too many people have rights that they shouldn’t.

Some malware or viruses can make you embarrass too. Recently i have experience twice of this, when a sexy girl video was posted on my wall pretended to be from a friend. When i clicked it, the obscene pictures are distributed to everyone in my friends network. Including family members like aunts, uncle, brothers, sisters, etc. It’s very embarrassing so i won’t simply click this kind of stuff from facebook in the future.
